This may be related to the wireless configuration on the ONT (modem).
You can log in to the ONT to check the WiFi Channel Frequency / Channel Width / Regulatory domain
● Domain should be – Trinidad and Tobago
● Channel Width – 20MHz or Auto 20/40MHz
● Channel – This is usually set to automatic, but it may be useful to set it to a specific channel to promote signal stability. You would be able to download an app on your smartphone that analyzes the WIFI channels in the area to make an informed decision.

Using the following steps, you can ensure that you are receiving correct speeds.
Step 1. Power down the router for 30 – 60 seconds.
Step 2. Connect to the device directly via LAN cable to LAN PORT 1 or LAN PORT 2, It is recommended the test are piloted over a wired connection only, as over wireless may not provide accurate results.
Step 3. Open a new browser page (Preferably in Firefox / Chrome / Safari).
Step 4. Ensure all bandwidth-intensive applications are closed on the PC, for example, any torrent downloads, video streaming, etc.
Step 5. Go to the website – http://www.speedtest.net.
Step 6. When the site loads, place the mouse pointer over the green icon on the screen.
Step 7. From the drop-down listing, select DIGICEL CHAGUANAS, and then the test will begin.
